The HSA Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Albuquerque Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), including processing enrollments, contributions, distributions, and account changes in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The HSA Administrator will respond to participant and client inquiries, provide clear guidance on HSA rules and eligible expenses, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
The position involves maintaining accurate records, reviewing documentation for compliance, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and generating reports to support audits and ongoing program management. The HSA Administrator will also assist in improving processes, updating procedures, and supporting the implementation of secure technologies to enhance service quality.
- Experience with HSA administration or related consumer-directed benefits (e.g., FSA, HRA), including account setup, contribution and distribution processing, and compliance with IRS regulations.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and regulatory frameworks, such as ERISA, COBRA, Section 125 cafeteria plans, and basic retirement plan concepts.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including accurate data entry, documentation review, recordkeeping, and handling confidential information with care.
- Proficiency with office and benefits administration software, secure web-based systems, and spreadsheet tools to manage accounts, reports, and transactions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex benefit rules, responding to inquiries, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and customer service orientation, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently and improving participant experience.
