We're seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to support their growing operations.
Position Summary
The Purchasing/Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating procurement activities, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring timely availability of products. This role works closely with vendors, warehouse staff, and internal teams to support smooth operations and uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
• Source, order, and replenish materials, finished goods, and supplies based on inventory needs and sales forecasts.
• Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors.
• Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and shipment status.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times when appropriate.
• Resolve order discrepancies, delays, or quality issues.
Inventory Management
• Monitor inventory levels daily to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory variances.
• Maintain accurate data in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or warehouse software).
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper receiving, labeling, and storage of goods.
Data & Reporting
• Prepare inventory, purchasing, and cost reports for management.
• Analyze usage trends to support forecasting and purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory adjustments.
Cross-Functional Support
• Collaborate with customer service, sales, and logistics teams to meet customer demand.
• Support product launches, supply chain improvements, and process optimization initiatives.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
• Previous experience in purchasing, inventory control, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency ERP systems 1 yr required.
• Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate Excel skills
• 2 yrs Experience Purchasing required.
Work Environment
• Standard office environment with regular interaction with warehouse operations.
• Full-time, on-site role:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.
-5:00 p.m.
