Director of Membership Sales & Revenue Growth
Location: Hybrid or On-Site (Albuquerque, New Mexico)
Travel: ~20% statewide
Reports To: President & CEO
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation:
- Uncapped Commission
- On-Target Earnings: $80,000–$95,000
- Accelerators for exceeding targets (six-figure potential)
The New Mexico Chamber of Commerce is the statewide business advocacy organization representing businesses across industries. The Chamber engages in legislative advocacy, policy development, and executive-level convening throughout New Mexico.
We are seeking a revenue-driven professional to lead day-to-day membership and sponsorship growth efforts. The successful candidate will prospect, engage executive decision-makers, close new business, and grow existing accounts. This role is best suited for a consultative seller comfortable operating independently and building relationships with senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Generation- Develop and execute an outbound sales strategy
- Generate leads through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and events
- Close new membership and sponsorship agreements (typical deal size: $1,000–$20,000+)
- Maintain an active, disciplined CRM pipeline
- Meet and exceed revenue targets
- Drive renewals and upgrades
- Maintain executive-level relationships
- Represent NMCC at business events and select statewide forums
- Learn and articulate NMCC’s legislative priorities
- Communicate how advocacy engagement creates value for members
- Stay informed on key statewide economic issues
- 3–5+ years of quota-based sales experience
- Demonstrated success closing deals in the $1,000–$20,000+ range
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong outbound prospecting experience
- Experience selling to executives or business decision-makers
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar)
- Experience in associations, chambers, media sales, business services, or membership-based organizations
- Familiarity with the legislative process or interest in public policy
- Understanding of New Mexico’s industries and economics
- Direct engagement with business leaders across New Mexico
- Exposure to statewide policy and economic discussions
- Clear ownership of revenue growth
