X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support our physician-owned radiology group. In this role, you will process accurate, timely payroll for clinical and administrative staff across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include managing deductions, benefits, and garnishments; reconciling payroll reports; coordinating with HR on employee changes; and responding to payroll inquiries.

Working in a collaborative, physician-led environment, you will contribute to reliable, patient-focused operations while gaining exposure to advanced healthcare systems and stable, long-term career growth in radiology services.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll for clinical and administrative staff in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records, deductions, benefits, and garnishments in the payroll system
  • Reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and prepare adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, status changes, and leave tracking
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with timely, professional communication
  • Prepare payroll-related reports for finance, audits, and management review
  • Ensure accurate calculation and funding of retirement contributions and other benefits
  • Support implementation and optimization of payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Stay current on payroll laws, taxes, and healthcare-specific compliance requirements
  • Assist with year-end processes including W-2s and other tax reporting
