USFS Regional Incident Business Management Specialist

Serves as the USFS Regional Incident Business Management Specialist, coordinating between the Forests, Department of Agriculture, Incident Management Teams (IMT), Buying Teams, and Incident Business Advisors, among others.
Negotiates with key federal and state officials on controversial issues, or to gain acceptance of new programs or systems.
Conducts reviews and analysis to measure performance of incident business related functions, and develops processes and guidelines to maintain good performance.
Participates in formal and informal training opportunities providing expertise in development and presentation of incident business related materials (e.g., Interagency Incident Business Management, Applied Interagency Incident Business Management).
Coordinates, negotiates, develops, and administers agreements to meet the objectives of interagency units with fire protection responsibilities within the zone while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Prepare written reports and/or analyses regarding USDA USFS polices on difficult or complex matters (e.g., appropriate expenditure of funds, rental and use of equipment, claims, cost effectiveness, property management, procurement).
