The OpportunityWe are looking for a skilled Construction Specialist with a CDL based in the Albuquerque, NM area. This position will report to the Construction Manager and represents an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun as GRC grows!
Responsibilities- Construction Specialist with CDL A is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites
- Use various equipment, hand and power tools
- Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines
- Remove, fill or compact earth
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards.
- Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
- May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
- Ability to follow instructions
- Driving heavy equipment/hauling materials
- CDL A License
- Commercial driving and/or heavy equipment operation - 1 year experience
- On-call and weekend availability
- Travel is Required
- Construction: 1 year
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus
Salary Range: $26 - $30 Hourly, based on experience
Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday
Travel Requirements: 100%
