Overview

The Project Superintendent is responsible for efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all sub‑contractors, construction trades, and labor crews to work in unity, ensuring quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The role requires proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities.

Location

& Travel Details

You’ll travel across the US to support projects in various states. This is a traveling position requiring travel up to 100% of the time. Potential project locations include PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY and additional locations added frequently as the organization grows.

Responsibilities
  • Permit document administration and control
  • Complete review and understanding of subcontractor’s scope of work
  • Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
  • Control project access and traffic
  • Tool/equipment inventory, coordination and rental
  • Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
  • Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC and reporting
  • Complete “3‑week look ahead schedule” and update master schedule with PCM
  • Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
  • Maintain “As Built” drawings for final submittal
  • Coordinate and schedule project inspections
  • Final inspection and proper close‑out documentation
  • Quality control of installed materials and equipment
  • Site layout and control of benchmarks
Qualifications Work Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent – or 10+ years of work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Prior experience with data center projects is required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Must have project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control skills
  • Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
  • OSHA certification with in‑depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling programs, and document management software

In addition to the above-listed minimum requirements, candidates who possess the following skills, experience, and capabilities may receive greater consideration during the evaluation process:

  • 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
  • Experience in projects greater than $20 million
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Willingness to travel through the US
