Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction

$145,000 - $175,000 Base Salary + Performance-Based Incentives + Relocation Assistance + Full Healthcare + 401(k)

Are you an Estimator or Senior Estimator with heavy civil experience looking to join a growing Southwest contractor that will hand you real ownership rather than another layer of oversight?

Are you looking for a leadership-track opportunity where you'll work directly alongside executive leadership to shape pursuit strategy, rather than just producing bids?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Heavy Civil contractor across the Southwest at a moment when its Albuquerque office is being rebuilt from the ground up — the office currently has zero dedicated estimating coverage. You will report directly to the company's President, with no Vice President currently in place above you, giving you genuine executive exposure and a clear, realistic path to grow into that VP seat as you build out the team beneath you.

This is a client-facing, relationship-driven position: you'll be expected to own the numbers, relationships, pursuits, and market presence.

Candidate Background, Skills, and Experience

• Must have 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities, grading, drainage, structural concrete, paving, or site development — well-rounded exposure across scopes is desired, expertise in all is not required
• Must be tech savvy and easily trained on software.
  
  Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or comparable estimating software (Primavera P6, Bluebeam, AGTEK, Bid2
  
  Win, Hard Dollar) is a plus, not required
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be emotionally intelligent — this is a technical but also client-facing, relationship-driven position
• Must be self-motivated and able to operate in an autonomous environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and deadline-management skills; able to manage multiple pursuits without losing accuracy

Training and Development

• Direct reporting line to executive leadership, with a genuine path to grow into a Vice President seat as the office builds out
