Project Manager – Commercial Construction

A highly respected Albuquerque area general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining a collaborative, hands-on approach with clients, subcontractors, and field teams.
The Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout and will be responsible for keeping work on schedule, on budget, and moving efficiently.
Responsibilities- Manage construction projects from award through completion and closeout
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, purchase orders, and pay applications
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, and scope coordination
- Monitor project costs, schedule, quality, and overall performance
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders
- Identify project challenges early and develop practical solutions
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
- Maintain accurate project reporting and documentation
- Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
- Partner with field leadership to ensure successful project execution
- 7+ years of construction experience with a General Contractor
- Previous experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple scopes of work
- Ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively with both office and field teams
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
