Position: Quality Control Manager - Heavy Civil Construction with AIS Infrastructure

Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, and more.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the adherence to quality standards and protocols in all construction and industrial services projects. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of AIS Infrastructure's deliverables, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

This project is expected to last until the end of February, so this position could just be a temporary contract. But if you are open to travel and going to a different location after completion of this project, it is likely but not guaranteed that we will be able to place you elsewhere to make this a long-term hire.

Requirements and Education
  • Strong construction quality control management experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a QC Manager, Superintendent, or Project Manager is required.
  • Familiarity and experience with soil and concrete testing and coordinating and monitoring tests.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secure facilities, including military bases.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and/or teams of 2+ people.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality control tools, equipment, and software.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices in construction and industrial services.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred Requirements and Education
  • Preferred ability to utilize Procore and Unifier data management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in quality control or quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer, CQM-C) are preferred.
  • Experience working with USACE and/or DOT is preferred.
Travel
  • Travel to different project sites may be required as needed.
