Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to provide services at a facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric dental services to children (ages infancy through adolescence), while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.

    27 hours/week, Mon-Fri (During the hours of 8am-12:30 pm and 1:15pm-5:30pm)
Requirements
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an ADA-accredited institution.
  • Have completed a post graduate pediatric dental residency program from an accredited pediatric dental residency program.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in any State or U.S. territory
Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical examinations, radiographs, diagnostic models, and other tests to evaluate patient dental health.
  • Implement fluoridation activities, sealants, silver diamine fluoride, and space maintenance to prevent dental issues.
  • Provide routine and complex restorative dental care, including the use of local anesthetics, nitrous oxide, and behavior management techniques.
  • Address dental trauma, pain management, extractions, and perform pulpal therapy as needed.
  • Teach children and their families about proper oral hygiene, dietary habits, and overall health practices to prevent dental problems.
  • Use child-friendly techniques to manage anxiety and fear during dental procedures.
  • Work alongside other healthcare professionals in providing holistic patient care, including obtaining consultative services for specialized needs.
  • Accurately document patient care in accordance with clinic policies and CMS regulations.
  • Adhere to all operational and regulatory requirements, ensuring high-quality service and patient satisfaction.
