Velvet Talent is seeking an Associate Dentist for a client in the professional services sector. In this role, you'll provide high-quality general dental care, including exams, diagnostics, restorative and preventive treatments. You'll develop treatment plans, educate patients on oral health, and maintain meticulous clinical records. The Associate Dentist will work closely with hygienists and assistants, follow strict infection control standards, and ensure a patient-centered, compassionate experience.
This position offers mentorship, modern technology, steady patient flow, and growth toward increased clinical autonomy and production responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry, including exams, diagnostics, and restorative care
- Develop and present individualized treatment plans to patients
- Perform preventive procedures such as cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments as appropriate
- Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and charting in practice systems
- Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and front office staff to optimize patient flow and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment options, and post-procedure care
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Utilize digital imaging and other modern dental technologies in diagnosis and treatment
- Participate in case discussions, mentorship, and ongoing clinical development
- Support practice growth through quality care and positive patient experiences
Required Skills
- General dentistry procedures (restorative, operative, prosthodontic basics)
- Oral diagnostics and treatment planning
- Local anesthesia administration
- Digital radiography and imaging systems
- Electronic dental records (EDR) documentation
- Infection control and sterilization protocols
- Patient communication and chairside manner
- Basic endodontic procedures
- Simple extractions and minor oral surgery
- Use of intraoral scanners and modern dental technology
