Registered Architect Project Manager
Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Registered Architect Project Manager at our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This role assists the design teams through all project phases including business and client development, programming, design and construction documents, and construction administration while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have worked in Institutional markets.

Duties:
- Leads technical design for the office and works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to produce design documents for a wide variety of building types.
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
- Supervise project team's work cooperatively with the project manager and project designer.
- Ensure project development, documentation and its completion meets schedule, budget, code requirements, and technical quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review work and propose changes to design, and to comply with building codes and budget.
- Prepare plan of action to resolve project issues.
- Prepare bids or assist with contractor selection process.
- Assist market sector teams in preparing proposals, and participating in new project presentations as requested.
- Collaborates with project teams to solve tough problems and provide creative design solutions.

- Productively collaborates with PMs and encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other.
- Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Assists PM on ensuring that quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.
- Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current.
- Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the PM on assigned project tasks.
- Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.
- Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.
- Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish tasks.
- Assists PM as needed on work planning. Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Assists PM on ensuring proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.
- Assists PMs as needed on reviewing project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Assists PM in leading successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality, satisfied client).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture required.
- Registered Licensed Architect required (New Mexico, or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Minimum 5-10 years in the profession as an Architect.
- Demonstrated building construction technical experience.
- Have worked in Institutional markets.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Proficient in REVIT and Adobe Suite a must and working knowledge with architectural tools such as Sketch Up, IBC, IEBC, and ADA.
- K-12 or public-sector project experience preferred.
- Familiarity with New Mexico agencies and requirements (PSFA a plus).
- Experience with CMAR or Design-Build delivery method preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate consultant teams.
- Ability to interact with owners and user groups.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
