Drafters
Dekker is seeking drafters to contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams and support the delivery of complex, federal-sector architecture projects. The role allows the individual a chance to work on technical and sustainable projects. This position offers the opportunity to make firm-wide contributions to projects ranging from multifamily housing, commercial and/or education (K-12 & higher ed).
Responsibilities- Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using design software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings and specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and standards.
- Work closely with team members to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings.
- Collaboratively engages in project work with responsibilities as assigned.
- Provide consultation and team collaboration in the planning, design, and coordination of projects.
- This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM area.
- US citizenship required.
- Associate's degree in drafting, architecture or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Knowledge of additional design software (e.g., Sketch Up, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.
- Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
