- Pediatric Intensivist (PICU) Position Summary
The Division of Critical Care at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join the clinical team. Salary and track will be commensurate with training and experience. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, and a rich retirement benefit program.
The position includes patient‑care responsibilities in a state‑of‑the‑art 20‑bed multidisciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Other duties include teaching residents and medical students, a pediatric sedation service, and pediatric/neonatal ECMO. The Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Division have a long tradition of providing outstanding, comprehensive care to the children of New Mexico.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Able to obtain medical licensure(s) in the state of New Mexico.
- Board certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care by time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and interest in quality improvement, research and teaching.
- Experience with ECMO.
- Experience with care of the pediatric surgical and trauma patient.
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
