Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a dedicated Physician – Hospitalist to support healthcare services in Gallup, NM, at a 78‑bed hospital near the Navajo Reservation.

• Provide diagnosis, care, and treatment for medical inpatients, including critically‑ill patients in the general ward and open ICU.
• Manage ventilators and perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and line placements (procedures performed by anesthesia or surgery teams if needed).
• Offer medical consultations to other departments and respond to adult codes, taking leadership or assisting as required.
• Make preliminary diagnoses, coordinate patient care, and refer to specialized facilities when necessary.
• Document clinical data accurately in the Electronic Health Record.
• Rounding involves 7–9 patients daily with scheduled admissions, with work hours typically from 7 am to 7 pm on primary admitting days and 8 am to variable hours on others.
• This full‑time, contract role offers $180–190 per hour, malpractice insurance, relocation, and travel assistance. The position requires relocation to Gallup, NM, before starting.
