At East Gate Kids
, we're not offering a short-term fling. We're building long-term careers in early childhood education - and we're looking for a Full-Time Floater Teacher who wants to grow with us. We don't see Floaters as temporary coverage. We see them as developing leaders - educators gaining cross-classroom experience, strengthening their craft, and building a strong foundation for long-term growth within our program.

Floaters are the connective tissue of our school. You support infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms as needed - stepping in during transitions, breaks, coverage needs, and busy moments. You help maintain warmth, safety, and structure wherever you go.

No two days are identical - and that's part of the magic.

This is a full-time position
, Monday through Friday, with consistent daytime hours (9:00 to 6:00).

As a Floater Teacher, you will:

• Support multiple classrooms across age groups (infant through school-age)
• Step in during teacher breaks, planning periods, and absences
• Engage children in play, routines, and learning activities
• Maintain safety, supervision, and positive behavior guidance
• Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, and transitions as needed
• Follow all New Mexico childcare licensing and safety standards
• Contribute to a collaborative, respectful team culture

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working with children in childcare or educational settings
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Physical ability to lift, move, and stay active throughout the day

• Competitive pay: $19-$21/hour based on education, experience
