Early Childhood Floater Teacher | Albuquerque, NM
$19-$21/hour | 5-Star Center | Reggio-Inspired | Purpose-Driven
Full-Time Floater Teacher (Monday‑Friday, 9:00‑6:00)
We’re not looking for a short‑term fling; we’re building long‑term careers in early childhood education. Floaters are not temporary coverage – they are developing leaders who gain cross‑classroom experience and build a foundation for long‑term growth within our program.

They support infant, toddler, preschool, and school‑age classrooms as needed—step in during transitions, breaks, coverage needs, and busy moments. What This Role Looks Like (Full‑Time)- Support multiple classrooms across age groups (infant through school-age)
- Step in during teacher breaks, planning periods, and absences
- Engage children in play, routines, and learning activities
- Maintain safety, supervision, and positive behavior guidance
- Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, and transitions as needed
- Follow all New Mexico childcare licensing and safety standards
- Contribute to a collaborative, respectful team culture
- Thrives in dynamic environments
- Dependable and on schedule
- Adapts quickly and stays grounded under pressure
- Builds rapport easily with children and teammates
- Values professionalism, teamwork, and growth
- Wants long‑term investment in their early childhood career
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with children in childcare or educational settings
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Physical ability to lift, move, and stay active throughout the day
- Competitive pay: $19‑$21/hour based on education, experience
