ESS Clinical is seeking dedicated and student-focused School Psychologists to join our team for Albuquerque Public Schools for the school year!
The School Psychologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations while delivering high-quality, student-centered services.
PAY STARTING AT $60/hr W2!
- Conduct psycho educational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Interpret assessment data and provide written reports with recommendations for services and interventions
- Participate in IEP, MDT, and eligibility meetings in compliance with IDEA and state regulations
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies and support plans
- Support MTSS/RTI frameworks through data-driven decision-making
- Assist with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on mental health and behavioral strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Completion of at least 60 graduate semester hours in school psychology or related program
- Completion of a 1,200-hour supervised internship, with at least 600 hours in a school setting
- Passing score on the Praxis School Psychologist Exam (or eligibility via NCSP certification)
- Eligibility for or possession of a New Mexico School Psychologist License (PreK–12)
- Ability to pass required background check and fingerprinting for school employment
