Youth Development
We seek a multi-faceted individual interested in participating in all aspects of Hawks Aloft. Lead interactive and engaging classroom presentations that include live birds of prey on average four days per week during the school year. Assist with outreach booths, prepare written materials for monthly online newsletter and social media.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Must work well in a small, team-oriented organization and be willing to get your hands dirty:
Raptor husbandry, enrichment and handling. Assist with raptor rescue and field research as needed. Adapt to changing situations, creativity in developing new games and activities, and innovation a plus.
Other Information/Requirements:
Strong interest in birds and conservation, physically fit, has a BS degree in biology or related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong written, organizational, and social skills. Must be able to multi-task, be flexible and adapt well to various situations. Classroom education, raptor handling and/or raptor rehabilitation a plus.
