At East Gate Kids, we believe caregiving is teaching. Every diaper change, bottle, and moment of comfort helps build trust, communication, and emotional security.

You’ll work alongside a Lead Teacher to create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment where infants can grow and thrive.

This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves being around babies and finds joy in nurturing, comforting, and engaging with them throughout the day. You’re patient, dependable, and naturally warm, and you enjoy being part of a team where everyone supports each other. You’re looking for a stable, full-time position but also want something meaningful - a place where you can grow, learn, and potentially build a long-term career in early childhood education.

• Care for infants throughout the day (feeding, diapering, soothing, play).
• Support daily classroom routines and transitions.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and peaceful.
• Talk, sing, and engage with babies throughout the day.
• Work as part of a supportive team.
• Ensure excellence and compliance with state licensing regulations, FOCUS standards, and East Gate Kids policies.
• Engage in continuous growth-participate in trainings, workshops, and professional development to strengthen your craft.
• Support a classroom culture rooted in safety, belonging, curiosity, and joy.

• A LOVE of infants.
• Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
• High energy, creativity, and compassion for children and families.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a purpose-driven, mission-minded team that values excellence and heart.

• 2 years of professional childcare / teaching experience.
• A CDC, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education or be actively pursuing one.
• Or, actively seeking to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education through the ECECD Scholarship or similar program.
