Calvary Kids Coordinator

Primary

Purpose:

To coordinate and oversee children, servants, curriculum, and safety for Lower Elementary (Kindergarten–3rd Grade) classrooms during services. This includes providing classroom leadership, supporting servant teams, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and occasionally teaching lessons when needed.

Secondary

Purpose:

To support all outreach programs and special events that Calvary Kids is involved in throughout the year and assist with Calvary Kids classes as needed

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following:

• Upholds Calvary Kids safety and classroom policies and procedures
• Connects with and encourages midweek & weekend servants in your classrooms
• Equips and train youth and adult servants in your classrooms
• Helps manage servant staffing in classrooms. Maintaining rosters to reflect current servants & servant information
• Invites potential servants into the ministry
• Prepares CK purchased educational materials to support midweek & weekend lesson plans o Schedules, lesson books, activities, crafts, classroom posters, classroom handouts
• Prepares classrooms and ensures rooms are sanitary, safe and ready for servants & children
• Maintains a working knowledge of the check-in system to assist with classroom management
• Participates in Children's Ministry trainings and meetings
• Supports Calvary Kids staff during services as needed
• Supports Calvary Kids for all special events (Easter, VBS, Freedom Celebration, Fall Fest, Christmas)
• Prays for servants, children, parents and the church

Skills & Knowledge

Required:

• Knowledge of child development, growth and characteristics of Lower Elementary children.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
• Working knowledge of Ministry Platform & Classroom Manager (training provided)
• First Aid, CPR, AED Certified (training provided)
• Trained to respond in an emergency or lockdown situation
• Possesses a servant's heart.
• Is enthusiastic, available, flexible, and teachable.
• Demonstrates a life that reflects commitment and obedience to God and His Word.
• Be a ministry team leader as well as a team member.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of Scripture.
• Maintains a growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Be devoted to prayer.
• Must attend one in-person weekend Calvary service each week.
