MS Bilingual Science TeacherWe are seeking a Spanish‑bilingual educator to inspire the next generation of global citizens at New Mexico International School. The role offers a comprehensive inquiry‑driven learning environment aligned with the International Baccalaureate framework and the school's bilingual education model.
Job DescriptionThe Middle School Bilingual Science Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high‑quality instruction for students in the Middle Years Program (MYP) while implementing bilingual teaching strategies and maintaining a safe, supportive classroom environment. Collaboration with school leadership and instructional support staff is a core part of the role.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver inquiry‑driven science instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Use bilingual strategies to support students’ language development and content mastery.
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with administration and colleagues to support student growth and well‑being.
- Current New Mexico PED‑issued teaching license (K‑8 or K‑12 Specialty with a Science endorsement).
- Bilingual Education endorsement.
- At least one year of relevant teaching experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Salaried according to the NMIS Teacher Salary
Schedule:
$65,000 – $93,000 per year. Bilingual Education Endorsement stipend: $3,500. Benefits include vision, dental, and health insurance.
