Roots & Wings Community Music School is a brand new nonprofit music school in Albuquerque dedicated to nurturing joyful, high-quality music education for young children and their families. Our school emphasizes both technical mastery and creative independence, empowering students through strong foundations and expressive artistry. Located in the vibrant high desert, Albuquerque offers a supportive arts community, beautiful weather, and rich cultural traditions.

• Teach weekly individual Wee Violin and Suzuki violin lessons for students ages 3–10
• Partner with parents and caregivers to support home practice and student growth
• Attend and participate in school recitals, community events, and faculty meetings
• Maintain clear communication with students and families regarding scheduling and progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and program development

• Completion of Wee Violin Teacher Training (online or in person)
• Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) registered training in Suzuki Violin Book 1 (minimum)
• Experience working with young children and families
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Additional SAA registration in Violin Books 2 and beyond, or training in Dalcroze or Creative Ability Development, preferred but not required
• Commensurate with experience
