Overview
Framework Development Group is seeking dedicated, student-centered tutors to deliver high-impact, in-person tutoring services to K–12 students across New Mexico during the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for experienced educators who are passionate about accelerating student learning through small-group, standards-aligned instruction.
Tutors will support students in mathematics and/or English Language Arts using structured curriculum, consistent instructional routines, and data-informed strategies designed to close learning gaps and promote grade-level proficiency.
This is an in-person role with assignments across participating schools statewide in New Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver in-person, high-impact tutoring in math and/or ELA to small groups of students (up to 4 students per group)
- Provide consistent, standards-aligned instruction based on New Mexico academic standards
- Use student data and diagnostic information to guide instruction and group students appropriately
- Implement structured lesson plans with explicit instruction, guided practice, student response, and ongoing checks for understanding
- Provide immediate feedback and targeted support to address student learning needs
- Build strong, consistent relationships with assigned students to support engagement and academic growth
- Collaborate with program staff and school partners to align tutoring with classroom instruction and school priorities
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and session documentation
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least some prior teaching or instructional experience (classroom teaching, intervention support, tutoring, or academic coaching)
- Strong knowledge of instructional practices in mathematics and/or literacy
- Ability to support diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with varying academic needs
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned school sites within New Mexico
- Tutors need to provide their own laptop to use for daily lessons
- Current or former certified teacher (strongly preferred)
- Experience working in K–12 school settings
- Experience with small-group instruction, intervention, or MTSS/MLSS frameworks
- Experience supporting students below grade level in math and/or reading
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in New Mexico communities)

- This is an in-person tutoring role; virtual tutoring is not the primary mode of instruction.
- Mileage reimbursement is not provided, so candidates should be able to travel to assigned school sites as needed.
- Tutors must be able to pass all required background checks prior to working with students.
