This role is ideal for experienced educators who are passionate about accelerating student learning through small-group, standards-aligned instruction. • Provide immediate feedback and targeted support to address student learning needs.
  • Build strong, consistent relationships with assigned students to support engagement and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with program staff and school partners to align tutoring with classroom instruction and school priorities.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and session documentation.

  • At least some prior teaching or instructional experience (classroom teaching, intervention support, tutoring, or academic coaching).
  • Strong knowledge of instructional practices in mathematics and/or literacy.
  • Ability to support diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students with varying academic needs.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned school sites within New Mexico.
  • Tutors need to provide their own laptop to use for daily lessons.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or former certified teacher (strongly preferred).
  • Experience working in K–12 school settings.
