Position:
Municipal Project Engineer in our Albuquerque, NM office.

- Community Engagement: STEM Education, Hunger Relief, and Sustainable Solutions
- Design and analysis for projects; ensure adherence to latest manuals and criteria
- Coordinate design and analysis tasks with project teams
- Adhere to QA/QC processes; review work and understand contract language and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with supervisor, project manager, task leads, and internal personnel; participate in meetings and document follow-up
- Attend internal or external training; support onboarding and training of staff
- Work with clients daily; problem-solve and escalate concerns when needed
- Set and adhere to project schedules; attend client meetings; assist with marketing and project interviews; understand financial management for profitability
- Technical scope includes drainage analysis, roadway design and alignments, sanitary sewer design, waterline design, traffic control, project manuals and specs, permits and regulatory compliance, cut-fill volumes, quantity calculations, ADA regulation
- Utilize software:
AutoCAD Civil 3D, Open Roads, Bluebeam, Water
CAD, ArcGIS, Culvert Master
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering discipline (required)
- Registration and designation as an Engineer in Training (EIT) (required)
- Experience:
4+ years of professional experience; PE may be required; proficient with standard engineering techniques and industry software
- Proficient with technical software and office tools; ability to work independently
- Knowledge of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for task execution
- Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software
- Full-time; generally 40 hours/week, may require overtime depending on department needs
- Standard hours:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM CST; unpaid lunch break; hours may vary by project - Hybrid schedule eligible after training period
