What are the core responsibilities for the role?

* Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects

* Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines

* Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects

* Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities

* Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment

* Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work that is error-free

* Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity

Qualifications, Skills, and

Competencies:

* B.S. in Civil Engineering - EIT

* 2-4+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be considered

* Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

* Have a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

* Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers

* Be able to develop designs and documentation using Micro Station ORD or Autodesk Civil 3D or other design software (Micro Station ORD is preferred)

* Manage project data files from various sources

* Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely

* Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion

* Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
