Linux OS Engineer OpportunityDirects and coordinates the design, development, implementation, and support functions for embedded firmware engineering, including a custom-built Linux Operating System using Buildroot. Applies advanced advisory skills and extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems, including analysis of vulnerabilities and integration of patches to the operating system. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.
ResponsibilitiesDirect design, development, implementation, and support of embedded firmware and custom Linux OS using Buildroot; analyze vulnerabilities, integrate patches; mentor team members.
Qualifications- Experience with C and Linux Administration
- Knowledge of Linux Operating System construction and maintenance
- Knowledge of vulnerabilities and patches
- Ability to create a Linux OS using Buildroot
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Experience with Operating System concepts for multiple operating systems
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity, embedded systems, and real‑time systems
- Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering
- Certified Ethical Hacker Certification
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
CompensationSalary range: $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
