We want someone passionate about working on an agile team and using their knowledge and expertise to deploy software systems that tackle the most complicated remote‑sensing challenges.
We are currently hiring a Dev Ops Engineer to operate, sustain, and innovate a complex Linux environment to build, integrate, and deploy sophisticated, real‑time decision‑making systems that support remote sensing, data acquisition, and analysis applications for National Security missions. Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Limited travel is required.
Salary Range$87,400 – $168,800
Qualifications We Require- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and experience.
- Experience with the following:
- Dev Ops, CI/CD tools, and their practices in a Linux computing environment
- Git source code management
- Automating manual tasks and improving existing processes
- Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q clearance with SCI, which will require polygraph testing
- Experience in the following:
- Linux System Programmer or Linux Distribution Package Maintainer
- Linux systems administration that includes RHEL
- Multi‑language build systems (C++, Java, Python)
- Configuration management systems such as Ansible or Puppet
- Knowledge of build generators and tools (CMake, Ninja, Maven) and their integration with CI/CD pipelines in Git Lab or Jenkins
- Current Security+ or higher certification
- Experience working on a dynamic, fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary team
- Active DOE/DOD clearance with SCI, with a recent polygraph test
The Systems Design and Architecture Department designs, evaluates, and develops complex, high‑performance software architectures for processing and exploitation of remote sensing information for high‑consequence national security missions. Our team invents, analyzes, and implements the frameworks, infrastructure, and algorithms that support real‑time extraction and classification of static and dynamic events from a variety of very challenging data streams from pathfinder remote sensing assets.
