Field Service Engineer III (C3) – Applied Materials

Location:

Albuquerque, NM

Salary: $37.00 - $51.20 per hour

• Serve as the direct liaison with customers to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
• Complete required job documentation, safety training, and procedures for processing parts.
• Professional represent Applied Materials to the customer, using a “customer first” mindset.
• Train junior engineers on site‑related safety, troubleshooting procedures, and developing a customer‑first mindset.

• Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies, or equivalent work experience, or completion of military technical training and field experience.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting details.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and perform required physical tasks in a clean room environment.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
• 4–7 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry (nice to have).

Rotation and shift work to provide ongoing customer support.
