Position OverviewYearout Mechanical, LLC is seeking a highly experienced HVAC Controls Programming Specialist to support our capital projects team. This role is responsible for reviewing subcontractor programming, supporting commissioning efforts, and troubleshooting building automation and mechanical control systems. The role supports project execution from estimate review through completion and ensures systems meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with owners to define expectations and performance criteria
- Provide technical guidance to clients and project teams
- Serve as key contact for coordination and issue resolution
- Maintain relationships with owners and stakeholders
- Design, Technical, or Operational Execution
- Review HVAC control system designs and sequences of operation
- Review subcontractor BAS programming platforms (Niagara, Distech, JCI, Siemens)
- Support system startup, commissioning, and testing
- Troubleshoot system performance and integration issues
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and TAB teams
- Assist with subcontractor scope and negotiations
- Support estimating and scheduling tasks
- Documentation & Communication
- Maintain documentation such as as-builts and reports
- Communicate project updates and technical details
- Leadership & Resource Management
- Provide technical guidance to project teams
- Support alignment of work with schedules and quality standards
- 5+ years HVAC controls experience (7-10 preferred)
- Experience managing BAS/DDC projects
- Strong communication and problem‑solving ability
- Employment Type:
Full-Time, Exempt - Travel: 10–15%
