We have a current opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern. We’re looking for a college student who is currently working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar (Bachelor’s or Master’s). The internship is 8 weeks (may vary based on availability) and focuses on hands‑on projects in manufacturing technologies for space and terrestrial spin‑offs.
The internship will immerse you in our technology and culture and provide professional growth.
Responsibilities- Function as our Solid Works PDM librarian.
- Create and import COTS fasteners and other common components into PDM.
- Adhere to all company CAD workflows and approvals.
- Work on project tasks under the direction of senior engineering staff and mentors in Structures and Mechanisms.
- Operate 3D printers in support of business development.
- Apply engineering principles in design, manufacturing, and testing.
- Generate technical documentation, reports, and presentations of design, test, and analysis results following company format.
- Conduct yourself professionally and courteously.
- Learn and grow every day as part of our team.
- Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited university or college, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
- Competent with 3D CAD modeling using Solid Works.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- Passionate about the space industry with high energy and a collaborative mindset.
- Creative, resourceful, open‑minded, and driven to excel.
- Familiarity with 3D printers and Solid Works.
- Participation in related extracurricular activities or clubs.
- Previous internships or work experience in a related area.
- Any relevant certifications.
