Ideal opportunity for current college students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Management to gain real‑world experience at the Southwest Division of Applied Research Associates in Albuquerque, NM. Interns will work part‑time while pursuing their degree in support of our Program & Test Support Group within the Concept Development Group.
Responsibilities- Perform CAD modeling using Solid Works and 3D Printing.
- Fabricate and procure prototype hardware.
- Provide test support and conduct test data analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Collect, archive, and review program‑management data.
- Enrolled full‑time as a student in a Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited university, with at least two years of coursework completed in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or Management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Solid Works or other 3D CAD software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in Albuquerque, NM.
- Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Hands‑on fabrication/assembly of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with 3D printing.
- Experience with technical writing.
