Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is a critical member of Creation's Customer Focused Team, responsible for bringing our customer’s new product designs into realization. The ME ensures products meet customer requirements and specifications from prototype through to sustaining production, with full ownership of the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Lead new product launch activities and manage the launch schedule.
- Conduct DFx analysis and reporting, develop manufacturing processes, and create assembly documents for new products.
- Perform sustaining engineering tasks, including engineering changes and configuration management across business systems.
- Interface with subject‑matter experts in Test Engineering and Process Engineering to develop test and equipment capabilities.
- Create, control, and distribute engineering change orders, maintaining revision control.
- Analyze customer documentation such as assembly drawings, CAD files, Gerbers, and BOMs to integrate information into internal documents.
- Review customer PCB designs, optimize layouts, and discuss technical details with suppliers.
- Support production teams with root cause analysis of manufacturing non‑conformances.
- Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business units.
- Present information effectively to top management, customer groups, or public audiences.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent experience in an electronics‑related discipline.
- Minimum 3years of electronics manufacturing experience with detailed electronic component and PCB knowledge.
- Experience with Aegis Factory Logix software (asset).
- DFM, PFMEA, Lean/Six Sigma fundamentals required.
- Experience with PLM/ERP systems, CAM
350, and New Product Introduction highly desired. - Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of industry‑accepted manufacturing, quality, and technical standards (IPC, JIT, Lean, etc.).
- ISO
9001 and ISO
13485 experience preferred; AS9100 or medical device manufacturing experience is an asset. - Ability to interpret a wide range of technical documents, including schematics, prints, and engineering tolerances.
- Strong problem‑solving skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel data sorting, filtering, and analysis.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of multitasking.
- Comfortable presenting to and meeting customers in person; strong learning mindset.
