A cutting-edge space technology company supporting national security initiatives is looking for a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to join its Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) team. This role involves leading system-level integration and testing efforts for spacecraft and related hardware in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring spacecraft systems are properly assembled, integrated, and tested through all stages of development, from design through launch. This includes developing test strategies, managing test execution, and solving complex integration challenges across multiple subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration and test campaigns for complex aerospace systems involving multiple components and vendors.
- Design and implement test plans, procedures, and equipment setups for space hardware.
- Conduct and support environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC).
- Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, thermocouples, spectrum analyzers).
- Document test results, troubleshoot issues, and support system-level diagnostics.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and mission teams to ensure readiness for flight.
- Occasionally support launch campaign planning and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field; or 8-15 years of hands-on AI&T experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of test environments and protocols for spacecraft systems.
- Experience with automated test systems and data acquisition tools.
- Familiarity with tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, Epsilon3, Altium, or Solid Works.
- U.S. Citizenship required (must be eligible for a security clearance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cleanroom procedures and sensitive hardware handling.
- Exposure to launch site operations and logistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a small, agile team.
