Description

As a Bridge CAD Technician you will draft and design civil‑engineering projects involving transportation structures across multiple states. Your drafting responsibilities will include creating structural plans for bridges, retaining walls, overhead sign structures, and box culverts, including elevations, sections, profiles, and associated detailing.

Key Responsibilities- Draft and design projects for various transportation structures.
- Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self‑disciplined in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prioritize work to meet project requests and deadlines, reporting to engineers and project managers.
- Prepare plans and layouts using Micro Station InRoads, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD 3D Civil.
- Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Manage project data files from various sources.
- Communicate proactively and responsively with colleagues and clients, both in person and remotely.
- Manage work spaces and develop plan sets in ORD, including sheet creation.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical degree.
- Knowledge of DOT standards for Utah, Nevada, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, and Idaho.
- Five or more years of bridge/transportation CAD experience.
- Familiarity with Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, and/or AutoCAD 3D Civil.
- Experience with Project Wise.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and think three‑dimensionally.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with competing priorities.
