THE WORK
  • Design, develop, and implement logistics systems and processes to meet business requirements.
  • Analyze and optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes.
  • Develop and implement metrics and performance measures to track material and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate material‑related risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Assist engineering teams in meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets, contributing to successful project execution.
  • Process RMA’s working with OEMs, suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor the full lifecycle of purchase requests—from initial requisition through purchase order issuance to final receipt—ensuring smooth, documented flow.
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for obsolescence and work with requestor on suitable replacements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience with specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics engineering or a related field, with experience in procurement and logistics coordination.
  • Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS).
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and peer review compliant and procurement packages.
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with logistics systems design, development, and implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems, such as Site Purchase Orders and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to multi‑task while balancing strategic priorities and recognizing when to elevate.
  • Experience with material tracking tools.
DESIRED SKILLS
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures and managing Purchase Orders in Procure to Pay (P2P).
