Control Systems Engineer
Seeking applicants to serve as a Control Systems Engineer for the Space Technologies division. The applicant will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The engineer's duties will include control systems design, test, characterization, and analysis for opto-mechanical and electro-optic systems.
Frequent activities include:
- Requirements Analysis
- Control algorithm design
- System identification
- System Performance Analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering/Scientific (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical) discipline from an accredited four-year university.
- Undergraduate study in control system theory
- Undergraduate experience in laboratory experimentation using control system technologies
- Experience with classical and state-space control methods
- Experience translating continuous time control algorithms to discrete time implementations
- Experience with gimbals and other actuated mechanical systems
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Microsoft Office

Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Engineering/Scientific (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical) discipline with a focus in control systems theory.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is:
$91,000 - $129,150

ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
