Job Summary:
- Analyze BOMs and develop cost‑reduction strategies with engineering early in the development cycle and oversee execution.
- Conduct manufacturability assessments, ensuring product complexity analysis is completed and design engineering has simplified BOM, process, tooling, and assembly labor.
- Develop obsolescence strategies prior to entering production.
- Coordinate cross‑organization activities and develop detailed manufacturing plans.
- Lead workshops in cost reduction, DFx, or DFm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 2‑4 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field, preferably planning new product introduction of circuit board assemblies or box‑build assemblies at a contract manufacturer.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
