HVAC Field Engineer

Position located at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, USA. This is an onsite role that requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret DoD security clearance.

The Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) seeks a qualified HVAC Field Engineer to support tactical HVAC operations both domestically and internationally. The engineer will install, operate, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and modify radar environmental controls, HVAC systems, and subsystems on our radar platforms.

• Perform installation, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshoot, and modification of radar environmental controls, HVAC systems, and subsystems.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate records of all corrective actions.
• Travel up to 75% of the time to domestic and international remote locations.
• Work long hours and weekends as needed, including remote and hazardous environments.
• Be exposed to energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance.

• Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant HVAC experience.
• HVAC technician certification (EPA 608) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration and air‑conditioning mechanical components.
• Preferred: experience with basic hand tools, Mil‑Spec work on tactical equipment, and electrical wiring knowledge.
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper chemical storage.
• Ability to carry and lift 28 pounds, access confined spaces, and climb tall ladders.

• Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret DoD security clearance is required prior to the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to security clearance eligibility.
