Laboratory/Facilities Technician
This position supports daily laboratory operations, facility maintenance activities, and technical prototyping efforts. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment while assisting with 3D printing, inventory management, equipment upkeep, facility logistics, and general operational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, technically curious, and capable of working independently on a variety of tasks. The applicant must have most (if not all) of the following:
- US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with CAD software including mechanical design and drawings.
- Experience with finite element analysis software and methods.
- Experience with space flight hardware (including environmental requirements, standards, materials, etc.)
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety in accordance with procedures and applicable regulations.
- Assist with laboratory setup, breakdown, and preparation for testing activities.
- Organize work spaces, tools, materials, and test equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Support laboratory personnel with routine tasks and project-related activities.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Experience with 3D-printing principles, software, and devices.
- Operate and monitor 3D printers to produce prototype and production components.
- Prepare print files, load materials, and perform basic printer setup and calibration.
- Conduct post-processing activities including cleaning, sanding, assembly, and inspection of printed parts.
- Maintain records of print jobs, material usage, and production schedules.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor equipment and print quality issues.
- Capability of working independently on a variety of tasks.

The salary range for this role is: $64,500 - $91,350
