We are seeking electrical engineers at all levels.
The selected candidates will join a dynamic team working to put Great Systems on Orbit with capabilities to perform leading‑edge tasks in laser communications, space electronics, and sensors.
- Design custom high‑speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
- Design and conduct analysis of analog circuits, including low‑noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers. Provide expertise to both product development and R&D efforts.
- Collaborate with peers, leads, and managers to develop, review, and refine designs and analyses to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints.
- Work within a broad‑discipline program team providing expertise in support of electronics manufacturing and test.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering with five years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight years of experience can be considered instead of a master’s degree.
- Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, Hyper Lynx, and MS Office).
- Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.
- Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements.
- Experience designing custom electronics for space products.
- Experience designing to defined requirements.
- Experience with analysis necessary for high‑reliability space electronics hardware (electrical stress analysis, worst‑case circuit analysis, and reliability analysis).
- Experience producing PCB layouts.
- Experience and understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Understanding of relevant IPC standards needed for electrical design and fabrication.
- Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub‑assemblies along with design of special test equipment (STE).
- Experience deriving sub‑assembly requirements from higher‑level, flowed‑down system requirements and defining test methodologies.
- Experience developing design & verification documentation (Interface Control Document/Drawings (ICD), Design Description Document (DDD), Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reports, etc.).
- Written and verbal communication skills necessary to present designs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to complete assigned work within a defined timeline and budget.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (constant).
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).
