Position

The position involves a range of duties designed to enhance leadership competencies and business skills within the civil engineer functional community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing career-broadening assignments to develop leadership competencies and business skills.
• Reviewing Weapons Generation Facilities (WGF) design drawings and participating in MILCON design reviews and charrettes.
• Developing, publishing, managing, and contributing to AFNWC studies, plans, analyses, and initiatives.
• Planning and directing programs that integrate AFNWC and AFGSC mission-based requirements with CE core areas.
• Managing program development and evaluation for Weapons Generation Facilities (WGF) and other nuclear weapon related MILCON facilities.
• Supporting the integration of mission requirements with Civil Engineer competencies.
• Carrying out special projects and assignments to meet the broadening intent of the position.
• Representing AFNWC/PI in internal and external governance boards/working groups.
• Developing expertise on developments within the Air Force Civil Engineer functional area and providing consultant and advisor services.
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within AFNWC/PI.
