Radio Frequency; RF Test Engineer

Position: Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer
Verus Research is searching for a motivated Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support High-Power Microwave effects testing for advanced research and development programs.

This role focuses on test planning, execution, data analysis, and technical documentation within a collaborative R&D environment. While familiarity with RF concepts is beneficial, this position does not require prior experience in RF or benchtop testing. Candidates with strong general test experience and an eagerness to grow in the role of RF effects testing are encouraged to apply.

This position is structured to grow into increased technical and programmatic leadership responsibility. High-performing individuals will have the opportunity to lead test events and small project teams, interface directly with customers and stakeholders, and mentor and supervise team members. The role will also involve monitoring the daily operations of the Verus Empirical Effects team and determining labor resource allocation while considering program and customer needs.

US Citizenship5+ years of professional experience working in relevant technical areas such as conducting research and development or performing test and evaluation in a Department of Defense environmentA bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred

Ability to simultaneously understand customer needs, maintain control of multiple simultaneous projects, and manage small teams.

Familiarity with test design, set-up, execution, and documentation is preferredA desire to mentor others and promote team cohesion
