Aircraft Maintenance Safety Support SpecialistSalary Range: 80,000 to 85,000

LAUKOA is looking to hire full‑time Aircraft Maintenance Safety Support personnel to provide advisory and assistance services to the AF Occupational Safety mission at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. The position supports the Air Force Occupational Safety & Health (AFSOSH) Division of the Air Forces Safety Offices.
Responsibilities- Knowledgeable in Air Force flightline operations
- Knowledgeable of aircraft maintenance procedures and vehicle operations
- Knowledgeable of shop machinery design, material handling procedures and compressed gases
- Knowledgeable in Air Ground Operations (AGO)
- Provide support for ongoing traffic and occupational safety activities and research effort
- Evaluate and determine causal factors contributing to mishaps and hazardous working conditions
- Develop and revise safety and occupational health instructions, rules, and regulations, and develop recommended corrective measures and alternative measures
- Identify unsafe operations and conditions, and provide recommendations in written reports
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- T-1 background investigation
- Proficient in MS Office
- Professional & Technical Writing Skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
