Job Opportunity at Leidos
Leidos is seeking a professional to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office. This role involves designing and developing electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, contributing to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development, and collaborating with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions on time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including electronics enclosures and packaging, mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.
- Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.
- Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field with 10 years of experience or BS degree and 12 years of experience.
- 5 years of applicable experience or internships.
- Mechanical design experience.
- 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience.
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems.
- Must possess active DOD S (DOE L) or higher security clearance.
- Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid Works or Creo CAD and 2D drawing experience.
- Experience working at a DOE facility.
- Hands-on assembly and test of prototypes.
- EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience.
- Static FEA and thermal analysis experience.
