Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking applicants for a mid-level Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer to join our Strategic and Military Space Division.
The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Multidisciplinary Systems Engineer to support Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) satellite missions. This position is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the premises of Kirtland Air Force Base. This engineer will be an integral member of a joint Government and contractor team that operates in a dynamic, energetic, and collaborative environment that emphasizes growth.
The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic, driven self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and desire an opportunity to influence and develop Small Sat systems. This is a rich opportunity to rapidly mature your technical/mentoring skills by being involved inevery aspect of small satellite design including, documentation, analysis, fabrication, integration, testing, launch, and operations.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science and 4-10 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree and 2-8 years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of multiple fields: mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, software, controls, astrodynamics, navigation, propulsion, or guidance
- Knowledge of system engineering tools and analysis methods
