About the Role Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer- Specify, design, and implement RTL and software for embedded devices, embedded processors, and systems from requirements to prototype, production, and deployment
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
- Interface with hardware design and development
- Document design process and the resulting system, as well as report system results
- Perform verification and validation on existing and newly developed RTL
- Support customers in the integration and deployment of the systems
- Potentially lead and coach a team of 1 to 3 other engineers.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in embedded systems engineering.
- Experience with FPGA development using VHDL and/or Verilog, including synthesis, simulation, and debugging with tool chains such as Vivado or Libero SoC.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting embedded systems involving microcontrollers, microprocessors, and hardware/software interfaces.
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related debugging tools.
- Experience with system verification and validation methods and tools.
- Working knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and component datasheets.
- Experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
- Familiarity with software configuration management, defect tracking, and peer review processes.
- Understanding of operating systems, communication interfaces, IP protocols, and hardware subsystems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
