Spacecraft Thermal Engineer

job summary:
Our client, in the aerospace and defense industry is looking for a Spacecraft Thermal Engineer. Qualifications include, 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering. A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on thermodynamics, or related field. Spacecraft experience preferred but not required.

responsibilities:

• Thermal Design & Modeling:
  Design, develop, and simulate passive and active spacecraft thermal control systems to predict and ensure performance across various orbital conditions.
• Testing & Validation:
  Create, analyze, and conduct component and system-level thermal testing to verify safety, reliability, and total system performance.
• System Integration &
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Integrate thermal components and coatings with mechanical, software, and systems engineering to achieve optimal, compatible design solutions.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  Maintain detailed technical specifications, drawings, and reports while ensuring full compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Troubleshooting & Mentorship:
  Diagnose thermal issues from development through operations, provide ongoing engineering support, and offer technical guidance to junior team members.
